Production of MG Hector is to begin soon by this month end

MG Hector’s production in India will soon be going into production from 29th April. The British carmaker will begin the commercial production of the Hector SUV in India at its own space in Halol, Gujarat. This factory was acquired by MG Motor India from General Motors in 2017. As per the sources, the company will soon roll out its all new produced SUV in India. The probability of car’s reveal is in the last week of the month of May, while its launch is scheduled for the first week of June. Even the deliveries will begin after the price is announced.
 


The features and looks of MG Hector is based on Baojun 530 SUV. The SUV will come up with a split headlight setup wherein the LED DRLs are placed under the clamshell bonnet, while the headlamps are located lower on the bumper with the fog lamps. Other features are inclusive of chrome encasing for the mesh grille as well as the headlights and fog lamp housing, five-spoke alloy wheels, and roof-rails. As far as the back of the SUV is concerned, you will find LED tail lamps joined by a horizontal strip.

For its engine, the carmaker will offer both petrol and diesel variants a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, while the other will be the FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel unit. Other than this MG Hector will also offer a 48-volt mild hybrid variant.

The transmission options will include six-speed manual offering as standard with both engine options along with a six-speed dual clutch automatic that is made available with the petrol model. Do not wonder about the price, the price of MG Hector will be ranged between INR 15Lakh to 20 Lakh. Rest all declarations will be made on its launching day in June, says carmaker.
