Refreshed Volvo S80 launched with price tag of Rs. 41.35 lakh (ex-showroom price)
Volvo India the Indian division of Swedish car maker Volvo Motors has launched refreshed version sedan Volvo S80 in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 41.35 (ex-showroom price) for base variant D. After globally unveiling the car during Geneva Motor Show held last year and displaying the same vehicle in Indian Auto Expo 2014 along with its two other siblings S60 and XC60. The car has been launched in diesel version with two variants namely D4 and D5. The Volvo S80 D5 variant has been priced Rs. 44.8 lakh (ex-showroom price in New Delhi).
The Volvo S80 D4 is powered with 2.0 litre diesel engine churning the power of 163 bhp and torque of 400 Nm, while the D5 variant sports 2.4 litre diesel engine churning the power of 215 bhp and torque of 440 Nm, both engines are coated with five cylinders.
The physical changes offered in the exteriors of refreshed Volvo S80 includes newly designed grille which is smaller to grille of existing S80 followed by new headlamps adorning LED daytime running lights. Apart from this the saloon sedan has received few more tweets continuing the existing features available in existing model. With introduction of two new variants Volvo S80 is now offered in five variants namely Standard, Kinetic, Momentum, Summum and Inscription.
