Volvo to launch refreshed Volvo S80 on March 19, 2014
After launching the refreshed versions of S60 and XC60 last year Swedish car maker Volvo is all set to launch the upgraded version of Volvo S80 with cosmetic changes offered in the exteriors and interiors of this saloon sedan. The refreshed S80 will be offered in both petrol and diesel disguises the base variant in petrol model will be powered with 2.0 litre, 5 cylinder engine churning the power of 163 bhp and torque of 400 Nm, while the diesel be equipped with 2.4 litre diesel engine generating the power of 215 bhp and torque of 400 Nm.
Speaking about the cosmetic changes it is reported that this time the front façade of upgraded S80 will carry the design similar to its sibling S60 which means it will have small grille. The another change will be introduced in the front fascia would be headlamps, which this time will be supported with LED daytime running lamps. Moving towards the rear portion, the bumper has been offered in a new design, while the side profile resembles to the existing version of S80 in market. Another expected change in S80 is introduction of newly designed wheels. After launch Mercedes Benz S80 will compete against BMW5 and Audi A6.
