The French carmaker Renault has launched the 2022 Kwid hatchback in the Indian car market. The price of Renault Kwid 2022 starts from Rs 4.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the new Kwid Rs 25,000 more expensive than its predecessor. In its new version, the hatchback receives subtle cosmetic changes. There are no mechanical changes under the hood, and it continues to come with an existing 0.8-litre and a 1.0-litre petrol engine. The company has also introduced a new RXL (O) variant in the 2022 Renault Kwid.

With this launch, the Indian alliance of the French carmaker also achieved the milestone of selling more than 4 lakh units of Kwid in the Indian car market after its launch back in 2015. Its Climber edition receives cosmetic updates on both interior and exterior front. The colour options available in the Kwid 2022 Climber Edition includes Metal Mustard & Ice Cool White with Black roof in Dual Tone and Moonlight Silver & Zanskar Blue in Monotone. Moving ahead, it also receives new dual-tone flex wheels followed by white accents on both inside and outside.
As far as other features are concerned, it continues to come with the same existing features including a digital instrument cluster with tachometer, creep function (AMT only), rear parking sensors, single-DIN audio system that supports connectivity with Bluetooth, USB and AUX driver-side airbag, seat belt reminder for front and rear-seat passengers, engine immobiliser, speed warning system, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with the smartphone, and a few more.
Speaking about MY22 Kwid, it is offered with 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre SCe engine configurations in petrol variant. The transmission duties are performed by a manual gear transmission system followed by an option of an automatic transmission system.
