Renault Upgrades Kwid With Extra Features

Launched as an experiment to study the taste of car enthusiasts in the Indian car market, the Kwid hatchback from French carmaker Renault succeeded in receiving an overwhelming response from buyers. The success of Kwid could be realized from the fact that inspired from success enjoyed by its entry-level version empowered with 800 cc litre engine, the carmaker within the short span of time launched its upgraded version with 1.0 litre engine configuration. Recently, the hatchback touched the milestone of selling 2.5 lakh units since its launch, thus becoming the first ever entry level hatchback in the country to touch this mark in shortest time after its launch.

Now, keeping the upcoming festive season in concern, the car maker has updated hatchback with bunch of new features to enhance the driving experience of customers. The list of new features introduced in Kwid include refreshed front grille, fold down headrest for rear seat passengers, rearview camera, and few more. An interesting thing to appreciate about 2018 Renault Kwid is that with integration of new features the car maker has not hiked its prices, which will definitely play an important role in further increasing the sales of a hatchback.

As far as mechanical changes are concerned company has continued the existing engine configuration of 800 cc, 3 cylinder petrol engine boosting the power of 53 bhp and the torque of 72 Nm followed 1.0 litre engine boosting the power of 67 bhp and torque of 91 Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by manual gearbox along with AMT gearbox known as Easy-R, that is offered only in 1 litre engine.
