Renault Upgrades Kwid With Additional Features
French carmaker Renault has upgraded its best selling hatchback Kwid with a bunch of additional features offered in both versions empowered with 800 cc and 1.0 litre engine configurations. The major features offered in the Kwid includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Along with these features, the Kwid is also now upgraded with seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, that till now was offered only in RXT(O) trim and the trims offered in Climber edition. Moving ahead, the interior also receives “Push to talk” button, that facilitates the easy access of applications like music, videos, directly from the smartphone.

The new Kwid is also equipped with the feature of MediaNAV display with an option of streaming new video by connecting it with any USB device. Along with this the Kwid also features rear view camera assist system with sound warning and color guidelines, as standard features on all the trims. With an objective to offer comfortable traveling experience to the rear seat passengers, the carmaker has introduced the rear armrest offered only to the buyers of Climber edition. It would be interesting to know that the AMT trims of the new Kwid will be offered with Traffic assist system, thus, allowing the vehicle to crawl ahead in traffic moving slowly and protecting it from moving back on the slopes.

On the safety front, the Kwid 2019 comes equipped with ABS+EBD, driver airbag and seat belt reminders for the front seat passengers, and speed alert as a standard feature for all the variants. Now, with the integration of these additional features offered with an existing price sticker will play an incredible role in strengthening the roots of Kwid in the Indian car market, which has already declared as one of the best selling affordable hatchbacks within the country.
