Toyota Camry Hybrid: Ready to make its debut in Indian Market

Japanese auto giant and maestro of hybrid cars Toyota Motors has blown the siren of launching Toyota Camry Hybrid in Indian car market hopefully by the of this month or in the first week of next month. It is rumored that the car was spied testing on Indian roads few days back. According to sources of Toyota company will launch the top variant of Camry hybrid in  Indian market with the price tag of Rs. 35 lakh (ex-showroom price in Delhi). One thing which needs to be mentioned here is that going through the craze of Indian customers towards low priced cars, company is speculating to assemble parts of hybrid cars at its production plant located in India so that it can price its cars according to expectations of Indian customers. 
 
It is reported that Camry hybrid will be launched in both electronic and petrol variants followed by a unit which will be enriched with electronic and petrol facility. The petrol variant will empowered with 2.5 litter petrol engine churning 160 PS and torque of 213 Nm. The electronic variant will be energized with 245 volt battery generating 45 PS resulting in production of 205 PS and torque of 270 Nm. The power in hybrid version will be transmitted to front wheels through E-CVT gearbox.. As far as looks of Camry hybrid are concerned it would almost similar to other variants of car with minute notable features like fog lamps, new lights and new grills. Reports reveal that parts of Camry Hybrid will be assembled at Toyota assembling plant located at Bangalore.
 
Besides Camry hybrid company is also in mood of introducing hybrid version of Etios in Indian car market, although there has not been any official announcement made by company. 
 
Prior to Camry hybrid Toyota has already launched Prius hybrind in Indian market in two variants namely Z5 and Z6 with price tag of Rs. 29.25 lakh and Rs. 31.42 respectively since 2010. Although during the span of three years company had been able to sell only 175 units so for in Indian market. Due to which company is now speculating to assemble parts in India so that it can price its cars according to Indian market.
