Toyota Corolla Altis diesel recalled in India
Toyota Kirloskar Motors India Limited, country's one of the prominent carmaker has also recalled one thousand units of Toyota Corolla Altis sedan in India. It is the second Japanese carmaker in the country which has recalled the cars in India this month. Nissan Motors India has already recalled the 22,188 units of Micra hatchback and Nissan Sunny sedan due to faulty in master brake cylinder. The company has officially confirmed the recall for Corolla Altis built between the 3rd August 2012 and 14th February 2013.

The company will repair or replace the aberrations on the left or right side of the driveshaft of Corolla Altis diesel. The recall exercise is reported to take time of about 2 hours and it is free of cost. Customers can go for this at their nearest Toyota dealership. Earlier in October 2012, the 8,700 units of the Toyota Corolla Altis along with Camry have been recalled due to problem with in power window switch. Toyota Corolla Altis is one of the best-selling C+ sedans cars in India. Its diesel model comes loaded with a 1.4 Liter D-4D turbo diesel engine that churns out 90 Bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is coupled with a 6 speed manual gearbox. In Indian domestic market gives competition to Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Laura and Renault Fluence.
