Toyota engine production to start at Bangalore next month
Toyota India has given some of the best models to the country and in an attempt to streamline delivery as well as the introduction of new models, the car maker will be starting production of engines at the Bangalore plant next month. Notably, Toyota Etios and Etios Liva have been utterly successful in the country and their success has inspired the Japanese car maker to further the capacity in order to ease the supply of these cars in India and to other export destinations. Where the Etios Liva takes on Maruti Swift and Ford Figo, the Etios sedan is in duel with Maruti Swift Dzire and Tata Indigo besides other sedans in the segment. The Liva hatchback is priced at Rs 4.09 lakh while the Etios sedan is priced at Rs 5.14.

The Bangalore plant is a joint venture of the Toyota Japan and Kirloskar Systems India and will be producing engines as well as transmissions primarily for Etios Liva and Etios sedan. As per the information, the plant will be producing around 1 lakh engines and around 2.4 lakh transmission systems for these Toyota cars and has been setup with an investment of around Rs 500 crore. This will also ease the pressure on Toyota’s other units where Toyota cars in India including Toyota Innova, Toyota Fortuner besides others are produced.

As per the information, the production boost provided by the Bangalore plant will be able to ease the pressure and will ensure instant delivery of Toyota cars. Notably, the Etios Liva and Etios sedan have both performed well in the taxi segment as well leaving behind Tata Indigo and Tata Indica that are hot favorites in this segment. The Etios Liva and Etios sedan price has also helped these cars attain a strong hold over their respective segments and this is the reason why these cars are able to give tough fight to the Maruti cars.

The engine of the car is marvelously strong and delivers me good mileage apart from superb power and pickup which is also very good. The looks of then sedan are always a sight and the esteemed interiors are very comfortable with the seats being terrific in comfort.
