Toyota Etios and Etios Liva Diesel launching on 9th September
Hold your breath, as Toyota Etios Diesel makes its way to Indian roads. Yes, on September 9, Toyota is launching two diesel vaiants of Etios Liva hatchback and sedan.
Recently, the pictures of the diesel variants had flooded the internet, which made people wonder about the genuineness of the same.

In an interview, Deputy Managing Director Sandeep Singh said that they planned to launch them in August, but had to postpone because of heavy destruction in Japan.
When the news of the launching of Toyota Etios was made official, it enjoyed record number pre bookings. Toyota has been emerging as one of the most prominent carmakers in India, and sales have been increasing. But the company has realised that the Indian market has been growing fonder of Diesel cars, as the difference between diesel and petrol prices has been rising.

The news is that these new variants will be fitted with 1.4L D-4D, same as Toyota Corolla.
The new Toyota Etios diesel will be priced at Rs. 80,000 more than the petrol variants. But these new variants are still expected to give the company a boost up in the sales.
