Toyota Etios Diesel and Liva Diesel Officially Launched
The wait is finally over. Today, Toyota offocially launched the much awaited Diesel variants of its cars Toyota Etios Diesel and Toyota Etios Liva diesel, in a grand fashion.
Liva is a hatchback, whereas Etios is an entry level sedan. Liva Diesel is priced at Rs. 5.54 Lacs. Whereas, Etios Diesel is priced at Rs. 6.44 Lacs. Both the cars have same 1.4L D-4D Engine in them. This engine produces maximum power of 67bhp and torque of 170nm. this engine uses a fixed geometry turbo force induction for better power and mileage.
The main feature of these cars is the ARAI certified mileage of 23.59kmpl. The low kerb weight of these cars is the main reason of their high fuel efficiency.

Toyota Etios Diesel is available in GD, VD and VXD variants. Whereas, Liva Diesel is available in just one variant GD. These cars are really good at safety with ABS, EBD and Airbags available on all the variants. The interiors of both the cars are really stylish, with dual tone seats. This is same as the Petrol variants. Rest all features are also the same.
These cars have had a huge hype in the market and people have been eagerly waiting for them. The main reasons are said to be their fuel economy and Toyota's brand image in the country.

Toyota's Managing Director for Marketing Department, Mr. Sandeep Singh, said that only those people who drive for more than 2,000km, should buy Diesel cars, so as to justify the higher costs of these cars.
Toyota plans to organise an awareness campaign to spread the information to the potential customers of Etios Diesel and Liva Diesel.
