Toyota Etios emerging as new luxury taxi cab in India
The popular premium hatchback, Toyota Etios is expanding its arms towards the growing luxury cab segment, especially in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Bangalore. The Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Mr. Sandeep Singh has addressed that the Toyota Etios harmony with the company’s premium brand strategy will be the most determining factor behind its future success. Gaining a good reputation in the luxury cab segment will be the most significant part of the plan.

After the resignation of the India’s largest radio taxi services Meru from the luxury cab segment in Mumbai, the Nagpur-based SMS Infrastructure has launched the new ‘TAB’ fleet that will be joined by the Toyota Etios. Stepping ahead on the way of success, Toyota is offering more than 600 cars (red & white color) across the country and all prepared with brand new 400 models.

If the demand of the luxury cabs will go high in the upcoming few months, company will increase the volume. Similarly, Toyota Etios has strength its grip in Delhi luxury cab segment with good number. The Ahmedabad and Bangalore operations are also in progress though, the volume is relatively less. The Hyderabad will be the next destination of the Toyota Etios where the demand of top-end taxis increasing gradually.
