Toyota Etios gets Cruze equivalent score in Latin NCAP crash test
Toyota Etios sedan and Toyota Etios Liva hatchback have stunned all following their value for money and now it has equally impressed after it got 4 stars in Latin NCAP crash tests. The car is selling as hotcake after the Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire went out of production for some time and it is all set for American sprint soon. This crash test seems to have proved Toyota’s commitment to offer quality products in the country and after Toyota Qualis and Toyota Innova this is the best product that the Japanese car maker has launched in India. The Etios Liva price and Etios price have also stunned people and compared to other cars in the segment these two are value for money if the add on features are compared.

It is believed that the Latin American crash test will be strengthening the belief in the Toyota car and it is just under the top five score that is seldom achieved by cars. For average cars of this stature, 4 stars are more than good, said an expert. And, continues the expert, specially when India has no such crash test procedure in place. However, in the absence of any crash test mechanism, Indian and foreign car makers are offering safe cars in the country and are not dumping cheap and unsafe cars. This has been proved after the Mahindra XUV 500 got 4 starts in Australian NCAP test and this has been reiterated with the recent crash test of the Toyota Etios.

The near highest score that the Etios has got in the crash test will help Toyota establish the car in Brazil and other regions in America. It is reportedly known that the car maker will be projecting the Etios as a highly economical, sturdily safe and performing car. Notably, the Chevrolet Cruze which is one of the bestselling car in US has a 4 score in crash test.

The Latin NCAP website does not show any test results and since the car was launched just last week, I dont think they have even tested it. Please confirm the source of your information. I just hope that this kind of news does not mislead people. As far as I can gather, Toyota said they hope to achieve 4-star rating at the time of launch in Brazil.
