Toyota Etios gets new interiors, affirms its stand against Dzire and Indigo best sellers

The Toyota sedan Etios has arrived with new up market interiors in beige. The Etios sedan has become the best selling Toyota car in India recently and is also getting very popular in the taxi segment that has lately been the sole dominion of Tata Indigo and Maruti Swift Dzire. Also, the exclusive transmission and engine plant for the Etios sisters that also has the Etios Liva hatchback has proved a boon for the car maker. This has not only ensured steady supply of these Toyota cars, it has in fact helped the car maker export these two to other countries from India.

A close look at the spy pictures of the Etios, the sedan has improved the interiors considerable to present its candidature to be a robust rival of the Swift Dzire. Meanwhile the interior update will also help it sell well than the recently launched new Mahindra Verito. In addition to this, the new Etios will help Toyota sell its cars in number until the Swift Dzire production limps back to normal. As per reports, the production of the Swift hatchback and the Dzire sedan has begun under heavy security with only 300 workers allowed inside the Manesar plant.

Reports also suggest that the changes made to the Etios sedan are a direct result of the customer feedback that the car maker has received from its existing Etios customers. The dashboard is also now in dual tone mode and sports a combination of beige and grey making it a perfect match with that of the beige interiors. In addition to it, sources also said that the new Etios has lower noise, harshness and vibration as the car maker has put in extra insulation to keep the engine noise out of the cabin. Furthermore, in order to present it at a never before low price, there are a lot of other price reduction features in the car.
