Toyota Etios sedan to take Brazilian route soon
Toyota Etios, a popular mass segment sedan which was launched in the Indian market in year 2011, is now all set to mark its debut in the rapidly growing Brazilian market in the first quarter of next year. The Brazilian unit of Japanese auto giant Toyota is expecting to drive high volume sales from the entry level sedan Etios and planning to set-up a new manufacturing plant for this model in the Sorocaba, Brazil.

However, the company is yet to officially announce the timeline of launch and other details related to this launch. Earlier, the Etios model was expected to be launched in Brazil in the second half of current year, but now it has been postponed to early next year. The company has already showcased both hatchback and sedan versions of the Etios series of models in the country, both of which have been receiving an overwhelming response from the car enthusiasts and visitors in that market.

The car is reportedly continuously being tested on the Brazilian roads, as the company will be upgrading / modifying the Etios sedan as per the needs and requirements of the Brazilian buyers. In past few months, the Toyota Etios model has been spotted a number of times without any camouflaging while testing on Sao Paulo roads.

The car will be competing with the likes of Renault Logan, Chevrolet Cobalt and Nissan Versa after its launch in the Brazilian market. It is expected that the company will initially launch a petrol version of Etios in Brazil, followed by a diesel version a few months after.
