Toyota Etios to be launched in Brazil by 2012 end
Reports say that the new Etios sedan of the Toyota brand which was specifically introduced for the Indian markets will now be launched in Brazil as well however only by late 2012.
Toyota Motors said that they had planned to construct a production plant in Sorocaba, Brazil last year in August. The plant is expected to produce the car specifically designed for Indian market the Toyota Etios. Supposedly the number of units that will e produced annually will be around 70,000 units. The plant is only expected to start production by 2012 ending.

The company that does its production through a joint venture with the very famous kirloskar group also known as Toyota Kirloskar Motors(TKM) launched its sedan last December in India and the demand of the car has been major since then. Toyota also launched its hatchback version the Toyota Etios Liva last month.
Since the plan of production of the sedan Etios around 4,000 engineers have worked hard for almost 5 years to get the car running on the streets. TKM officials have confirmed the fact that the exports will always be a secondary deal primary being serving the Indian markets.

TKM has also recently invested 3,200 crores to open its second production plant in Bangalore for the production of the Toyota Etios. With the boost in the demand Toyota has also decided to expand the second plant in Bangalore which is expected to produce 1, 20,000 units from 70,000 units a year.
The company at the moment manufactures 6,000 units of Toyota Etios and Toyota Liva per month which they are expecting to increase to a number of 8,000 units by September. Toyota’s goal of this year is to sell 60,000 units of both Toyota Liva and Toyota Etios out of which they want to sell 20,000 Toyota Liva’s.
