Toyota Etios to launch in SA on 21st May
Toyota South Africa Motors, today announced that its is going to launch the amazing two-box, made in India, Toyota Etios on this 21st May, in their auto-market. The company expects an astounding response from this upcoming sensation as there are many enthusiasts who appreciate this Japanese brand. Last year, the auto-giant showcased the Etios line up for the South African fanatics at the Johannesburg International Motor Show.
In the South African region, Toyota Etios will have to face challenge from two other segment leading cars, i.e. the Polo hatchback and the Polo sedan. Considering the market of South Africa, Toyota Etios is going to be a low cost product from the auto-major. Toyota Etios hatchback is said to join the range of other two prominent small cars i.e. the Yaris and the Aygo.

Toyota South Africa earlier conveyed that they might get affected due to debt crisis in the European sub-continent, as they have a major importing business from Europe. With popping in the low cost A and B segments cars, the auto-giant is now speculating to get good response from the ample of new car buyers across the nation.

Speaking about the introduction of Toyota Etios in South Africa, Toyota SA’s marketing communications executive stated that Etios has been brought in the market to target the buyers who have précised budget. The South African Toyota Etios is expected to be somewhat similar like the Indian Etios and will carry the same 1.5 liter petrol engine. Furthermore, this car would come in two exciting variants, .e. Xi and XS, which will have body colored bumpers and alluring 14 inches alloy wheels. These cars would be manufactured at Toyota Kirloskar’s Bidadi plant in Karnataka and will be exported to South Africa.
