Toyota Etios launches Motor Racing Trophy at Auto Expo
The Toyota’s legendary motorsport authority, Toyota Racing Development (TRD) has unveiled the Toyota Etios Motor Racing (EMR) Trophy series to boost-up the young racing talent in the country. The India’s first Formula F1 race was a successful event that amplified the enthusiasm of the car racing, held in October 2011.
By considering the gaining momentum of this passion, Toyota has announced the racing platform for not only the new racing talent but also for the manufacturers to underline their technological efficiency so as to demonstrate unbeatable stamina of Toyota Etios. Etios is one among the successful chapters of the company including the Etios, Toyota Etios Liva and others, launched within short span of a year.

The futuristic & youthful design with brilliant performance Etios has won million of hearts. According to the official plans, the EMR concept car will tour 13 cities and 22 TKM (Toyota Kirloskar Motor) dealerships in India. The EMR Trophy cars will be qualified by the FIA and technical expertise support and supply of the racing parts will be managed by the Toyota.

The Bangalore-based Red Rooster Racing (International) Pvt, Ltd. will have significant contribution to popularize the event, remain closely associated with the Toyota. This Trophy series is scheduled for the second quarter of the 2013, first season will have lavish beginning with race of Etios Sedan Petrol. The applications lines will be open on internet from 15th January 2012 to 15th February 2012.

The EMR camps will be organized in month of March and June 2012, skilled applicants will be shortlisted and proceed for the final driver line-up. Then, there will be a vigorous selection & training procedure including simulator evaluation rounds, go-kart selection rounds and graduate to driving the EMR cars with précised lecture sessions, exclusively by the professional drivers, instructors and local racing experts.
