Toyota reveals the pictures of Corolla 2016
Japanese auto giant Toyota Motors has released the pictures of its Corolla 2016 in cyber world. The upgraded version of this luxurious sedan is reported to be launched in Indian car market sometimes by the end of this year or in the beginning of next year. According to reports the refreshed Toyota Corolla undergoes various cosmetic updates on both exteriors and interiors.
Under the hood the generation next Corolla will continue the existing engine configuration of 1.8 litre petrol four cylinder VVT-I engine boosting the power of 138 bhp and torque of 173Nm while the diesel with 4 cylinder, 1.4 litre engine that generates the power of 88.4 bhp and torque of 205Nm as offered in existing petrol and diesel variants of Toyota Corolla. The engine will be mated with six speed manual gear transmission system. After launch it will compete against Volkswagen Jetta, Hyundai Elantra, Chevrolet Cruze, and Skoda Octavia.
Discussing the changes that would be offered in generation next Corolla it is reported to receive same cosmetic updates as offered in Hybrid version of Corolla. The front fascia receives newly developed headlamps, and chrome garnish across the front grille which succeeds in giving front fascia bolder and aggressive appearance. The refreshed front bumper receives enlarged chrome plate that runs across both the sides. On the rear it receives newly developed tail lamps with chrome plate. The interiors carry almost same look as offered in current version of Corolla bestowing additional features like Pre collision system, lane departure alert and automatic high beam.
