Toyota to organize motor racing event next year, hunt for drivers on

Toyota Bharat is all set to trigger some action in India. Japanese car maker Toyota will be soon launching Toyota Etios Motor Racing series in three cities next year. The said motor racing event is expected to boost up the sporty image of Etios Liva, Etios sedan and other Toyota cars in India. One of the three events of short listing of the drivers in Chennai at the two day camp organized by the car maker on Sunday. The selected drivers will be participating in the six races to be held at Buddh International Circuit in Noida, in Chennai and Coimbatore. These three destinations will host two races each and these will be qualifying races for the Toyota racing car championships overseas.

The drivers will be racing the Toyota Etios sedan special sports version in these races and will have to pay Rs 1.5 lakh each in order to participate in the Championship. Notably, the qualifying races will be at the Buddha Circuit where the first Grand Prix race in India was held and the 25 drivers who were qualified on Sunday seemed too enthusiastic about the forthcoming event. Notably, Toyota owns a Toyota Racing team internationally that takes part in various F1 races across the globe and selecting candidates from India is a matter of price as there is much talent in the country.

As per the reports available, Toyota will be training the selected drivers and will be imparting strenuous training to them in Championship racing and the drivers will be prepared for the overseas racing events. The qualifying Toyota racing championship is expected to be held next year and the three winners from the three racing events – Noida, Chennai and Coimbatore will have a chance to participate in the international racing events organized by Toyota. Notably, Toyota has been regularly participating in world racing events with its Toyota cars such as Toyota Corolla, Toyota Fortuner and other cars that have racing genes in them.
