Volkswagen all geared UP! to launch its new model before the year ends
Volkswagen, the European Auto giant is all set to launch its famous 2-seater car Volkswagen UP! in the Indian market by the end of year 2011.The car will be launched under a price tag of Rs. 4 lakh.
The car made its first appearance at the Frankfurt Auto Expo in 2007 where it gained much appreciation and attention from the car lovers.
Volkswagen has a very attractive and strong portfolio in the Indian market and the company has been able to keep a firm hold on the raising sales in the market. Currently, Volkswagen Polo, a hatchback, Volkswagen Vento, a mid size Sedan and Volkswagen Jetta and Volkswagen Passat are the other popular cars that are present in the Indian market and have gained much buyer attention.
With the launch of its popular and eye catching 2-seater car, Volkswagen UP!, the company hopes to gain the market’s attention and fortify its hold on the market.
The car is expected to give some of the prominent hatchbacks in the Indian market like Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Wagon R, Maruti A-Star a run for their money.
