2014 Skoda Laura/Octavia might get extended length!
The latest buzz about the Czech Republic iconic and German engineered auto-brand, Skoda Automobile is the launch of 2014 Skoda Laura, which is going to be introduced in late 2013 or in the beginning of 2014 under the name plate of Skoda Octavia. Speculations are that the 2014 Laura might that an extended length than its current models. It is said that the 2014 Laura would have extended length up to 4.8 meters. Therefore, it is likely that the upcoming face-lifted Octavia/Laura might give a stiff competition to other premium saloons like Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. The 2014 Laura is expected to be built on the MQB platform, but its length would be much more that the similar segment cars like the Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf.

Besides the extend version, the company is also initiating to introduced the compact version of this car which will have similar length as its current model. No doubt, the availability of the extend saloon and mid-size premium sedan version of Laura would enable the car maker to get a sound grip on the entire sedan segment. On the domestic shores, the company might replace the shorter version of this car by the current Laura models, while the longer versions of this car would be slated in between the shorter version and the saloon, Skoda Superb. This will for sure enable the auto-grand to avail the buyers a large variety of Skoda car options, starting from the hatchback Fabia up to the premium saloon, Superb.

The compact version of the 2014 Laura might have the design inspired from the Vision D and the Mission L concepts which the company showcased couple of years back. Expectations are that with the ultimate styling of 2014 Laura’s compact and saloon options, the company would commence with the Mission L and Vision D concepts.
