Skoda India to launch new Laura RS and new mid-size sedan in August
The August 2011 seems to be the month of new car launches in the Indian auto market with a number of auto makers rolling-out their new car models in the country. Joining the league, the Czech Republic based car maker Skoda is all set to launch two new car models in the Indian market in August. It’s now official that the company will be launching two new cars in this month including Skoda Laura RS and a new starting range sedan.
The new Laura RS is a face-lifted version of the existing model of the car. It will come blessed with many cosmetic changes at both exterior and interior. The face-lifted Skoda Laura RS is expected to be hosting an all new interior along with new alloy wheels at the exterior.

The next one will be an entry level sedan that will be rolled-out in the price segment of sub Rs 7 lakh. The new sedan will mark Skoda’s debut in the highly competitive midsize sedan segment, where the car will be fighting for space with the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire and Maruti SX4, Hyundai Verna, Ford Fiesta, Fiat Linea, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City and Toyota Etios.
Skoda Auto India is yet to reveal the details like date of launch, features, specifications and pricing for both of the cars in the Indian auto market.
Besides these two car models, the other upcoming popular car launches from Skoda in the Indian auto market include Skoda Fabia Scout, a mini Skoda SUV and a small hatchback below the segment of Fabia in the country.
