20,752 units of Ford EcoSport recalled in India
Ford India, the Indian alliance of British car maker has recalled 20,752 units of EcoSport from Indian car market due to Airbags and corroded Fuel line. According to sources of company a Field Service Action campaign has been instituted to solve the issue and offer the buyers complete satisfactory service from their vehicle. It is reported that the units recalled were manufactured at company’s production unit located at Chennai and were manufactured from January 2013 to September 2014.
Among these defective units 19,441 units of compact SUV were facing the problem of improper airbag deployment due to fault in wiring and is found happening in Titanium variant in both petrol and diesel trims. Moving ahead 2715 units of compact SUV were supposed to have problem in fuel and vapor line and for this company will fit new system. Apart from this 1404 units were reported suffering from the problem of both issues.
