Audi A3: Global car of the year 2014
Audi A3 the saloon sedan from German luxurious car maker Audi has succeeded in grabbing the honor of World Car of the Year 2014. The honor of announcing Audi A3 as the Car of Year was taken by a committee constituted by group of industry experts throughout the world consisting of journalists of auto industry from the all corners of world. Audi A3 topped the position by dropping 23 other cars nominated in the category of Car of the Year 2014.
In global market Audi A3 is offered in different versions including Sportback, Saloon, Three Door Option, Cabriolet. It is for the second time that any product of German car maker has been honored with this identity. Almost a decade back in 2005, it was for the first time when Audi’s A6 was honored with the title. It would be interested to know that it was the first title of its own kind given in such category and since then every year this committee decides a specific car as the International car of the year.
Expressing his happiness on the receipt of this award Mr. Rupert Stadler, Chairman, Board of Management Audi AG said, in 2005 it was A6 which strengthened Audi’s position in International car market by becoming the first winner of the title and now again A3 has revised the same success which is a delighting moment for company. Moving ahead Mr. Stadler also added that Audi A3 is equipped with all latest technical features which make it competent with other luxurious cars available in International car market. This honor has is a time for whole company to celebrate the success.
