Audi A3 hatchback uncovered at Geneva Motor Show
The Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi has unveiled its much awaited luxury hatchback A3 at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. With adding the A3 hatchback in its global portfolio, the company is looking forward to redefine the luxury hatchback segment.
Though the company has initially unveiled a three door version of the Audi A3, but is also looking forward to launch it in other model types including four-door saloon, five door hatchback, and soft-top Cabriolet. This will be the first time when the car maker will roll-out a new four-door version of a saloon, aimed to be sold in the markets like America and Asia.

Developed at the new lightweight modular platform of the company, the new Audi A3 model carries a considerably light weight body. The significant reduction in weight helps the Audi A3 hatchback in delivering high fuel economy. The car will be rolled-out in both petrol and diesel variants with a number of engine options.

At the exterior front, the Audi A3 sedan, the car hosts slimmer headlights along with newly styled bumpers, giving it an aggressive look. Moreover, the car carries an impression of designing of its bigger sibling Audi A6. On the other hand, the interior shots revealed by the company give an impression of firm’s A1 supermini car. Major attractions of the interior of the car include new monitor information display, LED backlighting for iPhone-influenced screen, and electromagnetic parking brake.

However in India, the company will launch a sedan version of Audi A3 by the end of this year. This will be a production version of the A3 saloon concept that was showcased at the last edition of Geneva Motor Show. The Audi A3 will be carrying the smallest dimensions in the Audi saloon range with carrying a length of 4440 mm. It is expected that the new Audi A3 saloon will be shelved in the price segment of Rs 20 to 25 lakh in India.
