Audi delighted with high sales growth in 2012

2012 was certainly a sluggish year for the Indian car bazaar, but for few it turned out to be lucky even when it was not in its best form. The German Auto Major, Audi had a good sales growth in 2012. It managed to sell around 9003 units here last year and has big plans for 2013. The company is aiming to sell about 10500 to 10800 units of Audi cars this year in India. Taking this figure into account, it showcases a growth rate of around 20%. Audi India sure looks very confident about that. After all, Indian is a flourishing market. If we take Audi’s word on that the Indian car bazaar will be amongst the top ten global markets in next few years. And we don’t doubt on that.

Coming back to Audi plans of 2013, the auto major has quite impressive tactics for this year. The company is mulling to bring in around 5 new cars to the Indian Car Bazaar. New Audi Q5 has already clocked 250 booking, while ne Audi R8 and Audi S6 are on its way.  Besides the superb sales, Audi India completed the overall expansion of its assembly plant located in Aurangabad. From now on, Audi Q7 SUV will be manufactured over there. Apart from this, cars like Audi Q5, Audi A4 and Audi A6 are also assembled at the VW plant located in Aurangabad. This plant has the ability to churn out 120000 cars annually.

On the whole, Audi India has been working hard day and night to make its company shine all the way. The 2012 Audi sales have showcased the potential of this luxury car maker and big plans for 2013 will definitely add more charm to the entire strategy of Audi India.
