BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon unveiled, launch this September
German car BMW 3 Series is now all the more useful as it has got the touring model in. The BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon unveil in UK is a significant development in the generation of this car that has been the most selling sedan. Now that it has a station wagon model available, the 3 Series will be encompassed in the choice list of those who often tour. As part of making it a Tourer from a saloon, BMW has made some significant changes and the new 3 Series Sports Wagon will be available from September at a price starting from £29,380 in UK.

In India, the 3 Series is still available in the saloon and the convertible body styles. An India launch of the Sports Wagon is on the cards of the German car maker, said sources. Look wise, the 3 Series Wagon has a similar front but a different and new stretched roof and rear styling. As part of the engine options, the Station Wagon body style of 3 series will have one petrol engine option that will be a 2 L turbo charged one with a peak power output of 245 bhp that is all the more powerful than the current generation of BMW 325i and BMW 330i models. The diesel powered models of the Wagon 3 Series will be powered by 2 L 184 bhp and 3 L 258 bhp. The models are named BMW 320d and BMW 330d respectively.

Powered by new engines, the BMW Sports Wagon is more powerful yet more fuel efficient with little tail pipe emissions. With the stretched roof the new 3 Series model has a boot capacity of 495 litres and will have three row seating. With the third and second row seats folded the storage space increases to 1500 litres.
