BMW cars win four red dot awards
BMW M6 Gran Coupe, BMW 1 Series, BMW 3 series Touring and BMW R 1200 GS (motorbike) have brought international fame to the German car giant. These cars have won the four red dot awards 2013 for their excellent design quality. Thus the results of this prestigious award have reiterated that the reason behind the popularity behind these cars. The award is said to be another testament why BMW cars are at numero uno position in most of its markets and this is the reason why it is at the pinnacle position in India as well. The award will be handed over to BMW at an official function to be held in Germany on July 1 this year. In 2012 as well, the car maker got 11 red dot awards.

Over 1200 national and international dignitaries and people of world fame will gather at the event for this highly prestigious award ceremony and literally BMW will be crowned as the best car maker as far as design quality is concerned. As per the official communication, there were as high as 4662 entries from independent designers as well as companies from over 54 nations of the world. Out of the ones submitted by BMW, four of these got the award for design quality excellence.
Experts believe that the reason why BMW M6 Gran Coupe got the award was following its high amalgamation of athletic design language. The 3-door BMW 1 Series on the other hand could appeal the judges following its distinctive looks and stretched lines on the body besides frameless windows also made a vociferous appeal. BMW 3 Series Touring taking hints from the already awesome looking 3 Series sedan has a touch of perfection with new one unit of the kidney grill and the headlight unit. The motor bike new BMW R 1200 GS on the other hand made an appeal and finally bagged the award following its highly enduring nature and ultimately off road nature.
