BMW to launch BME Series 3 GT in India by next year
BMW the leading German Luxury car maker is speculating launch GT variant in its 3 Series of luxury car in Indian market sometimes during next year. It is rumored that BMW will assemble parts of 3 Series GT through CBU road. It would be important to mention that auto maker had unveiled 3 Series GT version during Geneva Motor Show this year and is reported an enhanced version of 3 Series. According to sources the GT version is 200 mm long and 81mm taller followed by 110 mm longer wheelbase than compared to existing 3 Series sedan.
According to sources BMW will launch GT version in two variants 320d and 330d. Although both these variants will utilize the power of ZF – eight speed automatic power to transit power on rear wheels, the basic difference will be only of engine configuration. 320d variant will be energized with 2.0 litre four cylinder engine whereas 3.0 litre will be empowered with six cylinder engine.
As far as the interiors and exteriors are concerned it is anticipated that 3 Series GT will be customized with same interiors as in 3 Series model except the enlarged wheelbase. However one thing which needs to be mentioned about the interiors is boot space, which has been enlarged up to 1600 litres. It would be interested to know that when you will fold the rear seats in ratio of 40:20:40, it takes the shape of Skoda Superb which is controlled electronically. As far as the exteriors are concerned nothing has been changed on front side except some noticeable changes at the rear side.
