Bookings of Volkswagen Ameo begins from today

German car maker Volkswagen has commenced the bookings of its first ever compact sedan Ameo from today and has released a brochure revealing its features and variants that will be introduced in Ameo, which is slated for launch in the month of July this year. The brochure will facilitate buyers to understand the features offered in Ameo before buying it. To begin with power train it will be offered with three engine options comprising of 1.2 litre MPi petrol engine and two engine options of 1.5 litre TDI MT and 1.5 litre TDI DSG in diesel variant. It will be offered in three trims namely Trendline, Comfortline and Highline. The last engine configuration 1.5 litre TDI DSG will be offered only in Comfortline and Highline trims.

The major features offered in three trims are referred below:

Ameo Trendline: Body colored bumpers at both front and rear portions followed by body colored door handles and wing mirrors, turn indicators studded on wing mirrors, flat bottomed steering wheel, folding rear seat backrest, heat insulating windshield, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, dual front airbags, ABS and front power windows and central locking system.

Ameo Comfortline: In addition to features offered in Trendline, Comfortline adheres extra features in form of Dual-beam headlights, dual-tone interior, cooled glovebox, cruise control, height-adjustable driver’s seat, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, front and rear power windows, remote central locking, ESP and Hill Hold (when equipped with DSG transmission), front and rear foglights, 4-speakers, CD/MP3/USB/AUX-in/SD card entertainment system with Bluetooth and iPod connectivity

Ameo Highline: Additional features offered in Highline along with features offered in first two trims include, alloy wheels, brushed aluminium interior accents, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, automatic wipers, reverse camera, reverse sensors, front armrest with rear AC vent, automatic climate control, electrically-retractable wing mirrors, auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, front fog lights with static cornering lights, rear defogger, touchscreen MirrorLink system, steering mounted controls.
