Diesel variant of Volkswagen Ameo spied again on Pune roads
Slated for launch during the festive season, the diesel variant of compact sedan Ameo by German car maker Volkswagen has been spied being tested once again on Pune roads. The diesel variant will be equipped with 1.5 litre TDI engine which generates the power of 108 bhp and will be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system followed by option of seven speed DSG transmission system as option.
According to reports the diesel variant will be similar to petrol variant as far as its looks are concerned. The entry level variant of Volkswagen Ameo diesel will embellish body colored bumpers (both front and rear), door handles, door mirrors with turn indicators, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, single folding rear seat backrest, dual front airbags and ABS.
The high end variants will be customised with additional features like automatic rain sensing wipers, cruise control, automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel with chrome accents, leather wrapped steering wheel with chrome inserts, touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with Mirrorlink, remote and power windows, and reverse parking camera and sensors. Apart from this the top end trim will be equi0pped with safety features comprising of Electronic Stabilization program and hill hold control system.
