Volkswagen Ameo launched globally in India
Promoted as, “German engineering. With an Indian heart”. German car maker Volkswagen has launched its first compact sedan Ameo in Indian car market, the price of car will however will be announced later. With this launch the car maker has made its debut in segment where his presence was missing. The worth mentioning feature of this first ever compact sedan by Volkswagen is that it has been specifically designed keeping in concern the driving conditions prevailing in Indian car market and is being produced at company’s Chankan production unit. It is reported that this new compact sedan will be showcased by company at its stand for public view during 2016 Indian Auto Expo commencing from tomorrow and its sale will start from the second half of this year in India.

Mechanically Ameo carries same engine configurations as offered in its sibling hatchback Polo comprising of 1.2 litre MPI petrol and 1.5 litre TDI diesel engine. It would be interested to know that apart from engine configuration the compact sedan also carries most of its cues from Polo. The front fascia looks almost similar to Polo followed by sportier bumper with aggressive headlamps. The rear side however carries looks similar to Vento followed by additional features like enlarged boot space along with newly designed tail lamps.

Alike exterior, inside the cabin also this compact sedan Ameo receives same treatment as offered in Polo and Vento. This can be witnessed from Volkswagen’s conventional styling pattern enriched qualitative material and high quality upholstery. The front row seats are offered with sportier seats followed by regular bench seat at rear portion. According to reports the German car maker has endorsed that Ameo will be embellished with some stunning features that are not offered by others is segment offering enhanced driving experience to buyers.
