Chevrolet Enjoy launch in April
The multi purpose vehicle segment is soon to get a new member which will be the closest rival of the best selling MPV Maruti Ertiga. It is the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV which is all set for a launch in April. The striking revelation surfaced during the Chevrolet Sail sedan launch recently and with the new car, Chevrolet will be on the volume car maker side and it could be possible that with so many new cars in such a short span will improve its share in the Indian car market. First the Chevrolet Sail UVA created tremors baffling even Maruti Swift sales to some extent and then recently came the Sail sedan. The next big launch by Chevrolet is the Enjoy MPV which will hopefully be taking the sheen off Ertiga or Toyota Innova sales. As Nissan Evalia does not have a visible presence till now, it could do little damage to it.
The only diesel model will be launched in India and this will also be powered by the 1.3 L multijet engine sourced from Fiat India. This 77 bhp engine will be giving the car the required performance to chase Ertiga, Evalia or Innova in terms of sales. Mated to a 5 speed transmission, the engine will have smooth power transfer to the wheels and this will make it high on mileage and performance. Another thing that will help popularize Enjoy is its price and positioning. As it will have a competition with Ertiga, Evalia, and Mahindra Xylo besides the bid daddy of MPVs Innova, the Enjoy is expected to have a more lucrative launch price that will enable it get quick success.
A third car launch in quick succession, the Enjoy could be a product that will fill the car makers sales chart with enjoyment. Hoped to be priced in the price band of Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, the MPV is all set to be one more addition in the list of MPV by Chevrolet. The already popular MPV Chevrolet Tavera could in the meantime will see a face lift, sources said.
