Chevrolet Enjoy launched at Rs 5.49 lakh

Completing the ‘E’ trio in the multi purpose vehicle segment, the American car maker has launched Chevrolet Enjoy MPV today at a price starting Rs 5.49 lakh. Now the segment has three new offering in the form of Maruti Ertiga, Nissan Evalia (already launched) and the Enjoy. This is the second MPV product by Chevrolet as the Tavera is also already there. Now with the Enjoy in, the segment will see some great movement just like the compact SUV segment and it is believed that the keeping the price lower than Ertiga (Rs 5.98 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi) clearly indicates Chevrolet’s aim to undercut it in the segment.

With the launch of Enjoy, the car maker has yet again made it presence in the multi utility segment just as it did when Tavera was launched. Available in seven seater and eight seater options, the new MPV is available in petrol and diesel options. The price range of Enjoy is from Rs 5.49 lakh to Rs 7.99 lakh. The car is available in these variants viz. LS (8-seater), LS (7Seat), LT 7seat, and LTZ 7seat. Thus the entry level models of Enjoy are available in the 8 seater options and thus it makes it clear that the company is in a mood to focus the taxi and travel industry besides the passenger segment.

The petrol model range starts at Rs 5.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 6.99 lakh while the diesel model range starts at Rs 6.69 lakh which is again cheaper than Ertiga that has its entry level diesel model LDi priced at Rs 7.39 lakh. The top model in diesel which is the LTZ (7 Seat) has a price tag of Rs 7.99 lakh which is again cheaper than Ertiga ZDI that has price tag of Rs 8.70 lakh. Thus the Enjoy is a true rival of Ertiga, both in terms of features as well as price.
