Chevrolet Enjoy MPV spied, launch soon

The Maruti Ertiga rivals seem to be taking much time but the question will it be better late than never. As per the recent spy shots of the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV which was spotted in Bangalore, it seems that it will be the American car maker that will be launching the Ertiga rival first. Nissan is also preparing to launch Nissan Evalia, the big sized MPV that will have lot of leg space soon in India. It will be a joint venture between Nissan and Ashok Leyland. Where the Evalia will be a passenger car, Ashok Leyland will be launching the commercial version christened Ashok Leyland Stile.

Meanwhile, the MPV market is literally overtaken by Ertiga and even after high waiting period car buyers are crazy about it. Most importantly the price of the entry level diesel Ertiga which is Rs 7.31 lakh has attracted many buyers. At this price and the features offered, the Ertiga becomes a hot favorite as against Mahindra Xylo, and Toyota Innova that were the segment leaders. Notably, the MPV segment that has such offerings such as Ertiga has received much attention and this has prompted the sedan buyers to buy MPV Ertiga instead. Lots of space, seating for seven people and the brand value have in fact pushed Ertiga sales.

However, Ertiga waiting period is daunting it sales and the recent violence and ensued lockdown has created a negative impact on Maruti cars and car buyers have been reportedly asking explicitly before booking a Maruti car that will it be delivered on in the promised period. Though the production of the Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire has been hit but it has created an impact on the customer’s psyche and he generalizes it to all cars. The lockdown is expected to impact the Maruti cars July sales.
