Chevrolet Enjoy to be developed in India; price to be competitive!
American auto major, general Motors has a very high reputation in Indian car bazaar. To make its position much stronger and better than before, the company has achieved about 80% localization for its new cars. The latest launches of GM in India include Chevrolet Sail twins and yet to be launched Chevrolet Enjoy MPV. On one hand, where the company has already launched Sail U-VA hatchback and Sail Sedan, on the other hand, all eyes are right now on Enjoy MPV. With 80% localization, it is quite sure that this MPV will be priced very competitively. If reports are to be believed, Chevrolet Enjoy will hit the Indian car bazaar in April this year.
Under the hood, this MPV by General Motors will be blessed with a 1.3-Litre turbo diesel engine churning out 77BHP of peak power along with 205Nm of maximum torque. The tried and tested 5-speed manual transmission will be coupled with it to make the MPV much more frugal and deliver impressive fuel economy. According to the fresh reports, this MPV might not arrive with an automatic option. also, the car will be offered in a petrol option featuring 1.4-Litre mill producing 95PS of power and 127Nm torque. The major competitors of the car include in Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova and Nissan Evalia.
To make Enjoy MPV highly viable and practical for Indian consumers, this one has been tweaked to be suited the Indian conditions. If we look at the time period passed, General Motors has taken a lot of time to alter it and launch it in India. It had revealed the car at the 11th Auto Expo and promised to launch it soon. But more than an year has passed, but better late than never. All Indian GM fans will be waiting for April for Enjoy’s launch!
