Chevrolet Spark Electric to be launched by next year
The American Auto Giant, General Motors is busy and looks like it has already planned for 2013 as well. Apparently, the unit of General Motors in South Korean is planning to bring in the new and fresh electric Chevrolet Spark in the Korean market by next year. Rumors in the market suggest that the new electric Spark will be manufactured in the beginning of 2013 at the Changwon plant of GM in Korea. Besides being launched in the Korean car bazaar, it is expected that the electric Chevy will also be exported to United States of America. However, the company has kept the details of this new Spark under the hood, but who could stop the rumors in the market.

According to the grape vine, the new Chevrolet Spark Electric might be fitted with a 114 HP electric motor that will be further supplied by A123 Systems. However, so far there is no green signal on this one, but buzz cannot be a complete lie always! If reports are to be believed, the company is investing a whopping $900million per year in order to amplify the development of the electric vehicles.

Besides the Electric Chevy, General Motors is taking advantage of the festive season in India. The company had recently launched the face-lifted version of Chevrolet Spark in the Indian car bazaar. The car managed to receive a good response and is doing an impressive business here. Also, the company is geared up to launch its Sail twins here. The Chevrolet Sail UVA hatchback is already making waves in the market and is expected to arrive in India in a couple of days. On the other hand, Chevrolet Sail sedan launch date is still a bit dicey, but is likely to be rolled out soon after the launch of Sail UVA.

Very good news...but GM should bring out electric Chevrolet Spark in the Indian market too which is bigger than Korean auto market. I think after sometime the market for electric cars in India will be showing tremendous growth as fuel prices are going to touch sky. Electric vehicles in India are recommend by Government through proving subsidy thus many of customers are looking for electric cars with reliable emblem.
