Chevrolet Trax launch near by

Earlier there were two SUVs that India was eagerly waiting for but one more has been added recently and it is the Chevrolet Trax. The other two are Ford EcoSport and Maruti XA Alpha. Having the same compact SUV outfit, the Trax has recently been spied in Brazil which is the hometown of EcoSport. It is believed that the Trax launch in Brazil is only inches away. In Brazil, the Trax will be named as Tracker. Back in India, the Trax price is also expected to remain around Rs 7 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, the same as that of the Ecosport and XA Alpha.  

The Tracker is an SUV with not so compact dimensions and it shares the platform with Chevrolet Sonic and Chevrolet Onix. In Brazil, the future of SUV is expected to be intense as there is Renault Duster already in and gradually beating out EcoSport and now the Tracker launch is also round the corner. In this scenario, it will be a tough time for Ecosport to sustain steady sales. It is also expected that the Ecosport will have to hurry up its India’s launch as Chevrolet is desperately planning to manufacture the tracker in Brazil rather than importing it from its Mexican plant.  

The Tracker or aka Trax specification are 1.8 L engine similar to the Chevrolet Cruze. In Brazil, it will be giving some of the toughest times to EcoSport and Duster. Besides that the car is also expected to outshine the existing genre of compact SUVs as the Americans have laid out aggressive India launch plans. It is believed that Chevrolet will be launching the Trax just after the Sail sedan and the Chevrolet Enjoy MPV launch in India. The expected time of Trax launch in India is second half of next year.
