Chevrolet’s six Gimmicks to steal the Auto Expo!
Now, when the big auto players are revealing their plans & business strategies for the forthcoming 2012 Auto Expo the big picture is getting more visibility. The world’s largest automaker, General Motors is all prepared to steal the show with its brand new showcase of the Sail (hatchback car), WTCC Cruze (racing car), Chevrolet Captiva (premium SUV), Chevrolet Tavera (MUV), and Chevrolet Wuling MPV CN-100.

The hatchback Chevrolet Sail Sedan is a joint venture of SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation) and GM China. It is a stunning passenger car having great resemblance to new Chevy. It is expected to hit the Indian market by April 2012. Though, Sail’s saloon version will arrive somewhere in September 2012.

Chevrolet Sail will be available in both petrol and diesel variant. According to grapevine, this hatchback will come powered with Chevy Beat’s 1.2 petrol engine churning maximum power of 79bhp. Whereas, its diesel variant will be boosted with a 1.3 Mutlijet diesel engine offering class-leading fuel efficiency and powertrains.

The multifarious Chevrolet Wuling MPV CN-100 is a seven-seater vehicle, available in petrol & diesel versions. It will share the same1.3 litre diesel engine with Fiat and the 1.4 litre 102bhp petrol engine will also be an option. The sport segment will sizzle with the brilliant performer, Chevrolet WTCC Cruze that will offer the horsepower of 85 bhp.

The new modified Chevrolet Captiva has under gone through fine body job along with brilliant mechanical make-over. The ample passenger and luggage space is a great deal. This Chevrolet SUV is supposed to come powered with a 2.2 litre 184bhp diesel engine.

The MUV Chevrolet Tavera will be a show-stopper of the fair that will carry the sophistication of advanced BSIV turbocharged, intercooled diesel engine. This engine will produce the best power of 100bhp and meet the new BS IV emission norms.
