Dual Front Airbags Now Standard Feature in Ford EcoSport
According to recent industry reports going through the increasing concern towards integration of different safety features in upcoming vehicles Ford India the Indian alliance of U.S. based car maker Ford has announced to offer front dual airbags as standard feature across the entire fleet of EcoSport. And with this the car maker is now offering the integration of dual front airbags throughout its portfolio being sold in Indian car market. Prior to this feature of airbags was only offered in Trend trim of this compact SUV.

With this report now the entry level Ambiente of EcoSport will also be equipped with this feature, the remaining variants in line-up are equipped with anti lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution as standard feature. The top end variants like Titanium and Titanium Plus are offered with side and curtain airbags. The automatic variant of EcoSport continues to be equipped with existing features comprising of Electronic Stability Program and Traction Control. It seems that keeping the tough competition emerging in segment company has decided to introduce these features in this compact SUV.

As far as mechanical changes are concerned it is reported to continue with ongoing engine configurations of1.5L 4-cylinder Ti-VCT petrol and 1.5L 4-cylinder TDCi diesel engine followed by 1.0 litre 3 cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost engine. The transmission system includes five speed manual transmission system along with option of six speed automatic gearbox offered in 1.5 litre petrol engine variant. With this the car maker is also going to unveil the facelift version of EcoSport during Sao Paulo Auto Show going to commence from next week.
