Facelift Hyundai Grand i10 to be Christened as Grand i10 Prime

Launched back in 2013, Hyundai Grand i10 has been one of the highly acclaimed hatchbacks by country’s second leading car maker Hyundai Motors India Limited. Now after almost four years after its launch the Korean car maker is going to launch the facelift of the same in Indian car market sometimes during the month of February this year. According to emerging reports this time the Grand i10 will be launched with new identity as Grand i10 Prime, the recognition with which it is being sold in International car market. It is also rumored that company is also planning to introduce the facelift version of compact sedan Xcent soon in India and might also name it as Xcent Prime.

Returning back to facelift Grand i10 the snapshots of the same have been flashed on several occasions while going under test drive. It is believed that the facelift avatar of Grand i10 will continue with same existing engine configuration of 1.2 litre petrol engine boosting the power of 82 bhp and torque of 116Nm, while another engine configuration of 1.1 litre three cylinder U2 VGT diesel engine churns the power of 70 bhp and torque of 163Nm.
 
Talking about the cosmetic updates the dimensions of new Grand i10 will remain unchanged and changes will be mainly offered on the exterior and interior. On the exterior it is reported to receive refreshed bumpers both at the front and rear, followed by LED daytime running lights and front grille at front fascia. Moving towards inside the cabin you will find integration of some contemporary features along with new touchscreen infotainment system.
