Facelift Mahindra XUV500 2018 Launched With Price Tag Of Rs. 12.32 Lakh

Going through the increasing competition in the segment domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra has finally launched the refreshed version of its best selling SUV XUV500 in the Indian car market after the gap of three years. The price of facelift XUV500 begins from Rs. 12.32 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) and offered in both the diesel and petrol variants. Both the engine options are offered with the existing engine configuration of 2.2 litre four cylinder mHawk engines. The diesel engine is equipped with the new electronically controlled variable geometry turbocharger (EVGT) system that facilitates it to generate the power of 153 bhp at 3750 rpm and the torque of 360 Nm at rpm varying from 1750-2800. The petrol engine is capable for developing the power of 138 bhp at 4500 rpm and the torque of 320Nm at rpm in the range of 2000-3000 rpm. The transmission duties are performed by six speed synchromesh manual gearbox and six speed automatic transmission system.

Talking about the cosmetic updates offered on the exterior front the facelift XUV500 receives new updated enlarged front grille with chrome surroundings and insert at the centre portion, followed by new projector headlamps and integrated LED DRLs at the front fascia. Along with these updates the front fascia also adorns new bumper with enlarged airdame and chrome garnish around the tear-duct fog lamps. The side flaunts 18 inch alloy wheels offered at the top W11 trim while the other trims receive 17 inch alloy wheels. The rear portion gets updated with newly developed tailgate with split tail-lamps and new spoiler.

Inside the cabin also it receives various upgrades. The top end W11 trim is offered with revised seats, new dual colored interior etc. The dashboard almost carries the same look and continues to be offered with existing steering wheel, central console, air conditioner vents, seven inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connectivity with GPS, USB and the Bluetooth. It is also offered with Android Auto, Ecosense and Connected Apps. On the safety front it is offered with dual airbags, ABD+EBD as standard feature on all trims. The top end trims is offered with six airbags, ESP with rollover mitigation, and hill hold and descent control system. Apart from these features the facelift XUV500 is offered with plenty of upgraded features.
