Before talking about the major updates let us have a look of the new BS VI compliant engine. The new 796cc petrol engine churns the same power and torque of 48 bhp and 69 Nm respectively as developed by the outgoing model. However, this time with upgraded hardware and software. The new engine is reported to minimize the impacts of Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions up-to 25 percent. The transmission duty is performed with the same five speed manual gearbox. Unfortunately, despite of generating 25% less Nitrogen Oxide, the engine delivers an average of 22.05 kmpl which is quite lesser than BS VI model, that delivered an average of 24.7 kmpl.
