First Images Of Maruti Suzuki Ignis Facelift Emerge Online
Rumors regarding the launch of facelift Ignis hatchback by the Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited has been surfacing online from time to time. Now, it is for the first time that the images of the same have leaked online ahead of its expected showcase during the Indian Auto Expo 2020 scheduled to held from February 7, 2020.
According to the images leaked in the cyber world, the facelift Ignis will undergo vast cosmetic changes in the form of the new front fascia with a toothed front grille similar to recently launched S-Presso. The headlamp design continues to be similar as offered in the ongoing model, but the fog lamp housing has undergone noticeable changes. The side profile looks similar to its existing version, thus retaining the roof rails. The rear portion also undergoes vast cosmetic changes in the form of new skid plates followed by the reflectors on the rear bumper. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is the tough contender to Mahindra KUV100 and Hyundai Grand i10.
Underhood, the facelift Maruti Ignis will receive the BS-VI, 1.2 liter, 4 cylinder petrol engine that will generate the power of 82 bhp and the torque of 113Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by with options of five-speed manual and five-speed AMT gearbox. It is speculated that it will receive the price hike in the range of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000, based on the variant purchased by the buyer. It is also believed that the company might offer the new color scheme followed by the existing nine colors existing on the exterior front.
As far as the features offered inside the interior are concerned nothing has been so far revealed by any of the sources, but still it is anticipated to receive some of the upgraded contemporary features.
