Maruti Suzuki Embellishes 2019 Ignis With New Safety Features
With the price tag of Rs. 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom price), the leading car manufacturing company Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the refreshed version of its hatchback Ignis in the Indian car market. The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis is equipped with a bunch of safety features comprising of reverse parking assist system, high-speed alert system, co-driver seat belt alert system as the standard features across all the trims. Continuing the existing engine configuration of 1.2 litre VVT, 4 cylinder petrol engine that generates the power of 81 bhp and the torque of 113Nm, and mated with five-speed manual gearbox, along with an option of five-speed AMT system is reported to deliver the fuel-efficient performance of 20.89 kmpl.

On the aesthetic front, the new Ignis receives subtle changes which is helpful in enhancing its overall appeal. It would be interesting to know that this time the company has also offered roof rails on the Zeta and Alpha trims. Going through the increasing concern of the government towards the integration of safety features in the upcoming car, the Indo-Japanese carmakers have also equipped the Ignis 2019 with the safety features like dual airbags, ABS+EBD, ISOFIX-child seat restraint system and seat belt pre-tensioners as standard features. Dimensionally the new Ignis measures the length of 3700mm, the width of 1690mm and the height of 1595mm followed by the wheelbase of 2435 mm and ground clearance of 180mm. The color options include Glistening Grey, Pearl Arctic White, Uptown Red, Tinsel Blue, Tinsel Blue with Midnight Black, Silky Silver, Nexa Blue and Uptown Red with Midnight Black.

Addressing the launch of 2019 Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Mr. R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing and Sales) - Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Today, IGNIS has changed the way customers look at the premium compact segment. IGNIS has established itself as a complete package for those who seek the unconventional. Taking passenger safety to next level, we have loaded IGNIS with more safety features. These will be offered as standard across all variants. To enhance the design of IGNIS and give it a strong road presence, new roof rails are offered in Zeta and Alpha variants. We are confident that the updated version of IGNIS will be even more attractive for the premium urban car user.”
