Ford EcoSport 4WD Powershift AT unveiled

Brazil is the land of Ford Ecosport and it is here that the American car was born and bloomed. It is from here that the car maker has taken it to far off lands, and it is here that that Ford EcoSport with 4WD Powershift AT has been displayed. It is believed that after the immense success of the Ford Fiesta AT, the car manufacturer will be doing its best to launch the AT version of Ecosport in India as well. Initially, it was believed that Ford could drop the AT from introducing it in the Indian line up. But as soon as the Fiesta AT demand shot up, the car giant seems to have realized that the automatic cars really have a future in India. The Ecosport is one of the most anticipated cars in India since January 2012 and it is believed that it will be priced around Rs 8 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh.  

The Ecosport will be the closest rival of Renault Duster that is doing what Renault has never expected. Selling in huge numbers and specially these days when the festive season is on, the French SUV’s waiting period is slightly rising. The 85 PS Diesel trim is already sold out and the 115 PS version is available. Now that it is said that the Ecosport will be launched soon. This also has given boost to the fact that Ford is really hoping best from the Ecosport and it is believed that it will be launching the Ecosport before the Maruti XA Alpha launch which is scheduled sometime next year. The Ecosport launch is slated in early 2013.

Another most striking fact about the unveil of the Ecosport AT in Brazil is the 2 L 16 V Duratec engine which will soon be launched in Brazil. It is the 1 L EcoBoost engine powered Ecosport and a diesel engine option studded Ecosport is what India will get.
