Ford Ecosport caught testing in Brazil

The upcoming new Ford Ecosport seems to be nearing its launch as the frequency of testing of the mini SUV has increased considerably over the past few months. The next generation car is highly expected in India and a close to Diwali launch is what a guess that is doing rounds on the internet. The Rs 8.5 lakh SUV will hit the compact SUV market and it will be joining Renault Duster and Premier Rio SUV by then. The Ford SUV was launched at the Auto Expo held in New Delhi this year and since then it has been on the radar of auto enthusiast and they are tracking its every single move.

The test mule spotted in Bahia in Brazil, which is its homeland, was almost devoid of camouflaged and every single detail was closely visible. It appeared close to the same SUV that was launched in India in January. An early July is what various reports on the internet suggest about Ecosport’s Brazil launch. Later this year, the car will be launched in China and most probably in India as well. The test mule seemed to be completely production ready or say launch ready model as there was not a single piece of it that was camouflaged and such un camouflaged appearance happens when the car is closes to its launch.

India has been very eagerly waiting for the SUV as the SUV has the recipe to transform the way people looked at a compact SUV in India. Till now India has seen Premier Rio as a compact SUV that is also expected to arrive in a new avatar with the BSIV compliant Fiat sourced diesel engine soon. Besides this, the compact SUV offering by Maruti is also in the offing and it is called as Maruti XA Alpha.
