Ford EcoSport India launch on 4th January!

The American auto giant in India Ford Motors had announced sometime back that the upcoming 2012 Indian Auto Expo will carry some “surprising elements” from Indian point of view. There is news from reliable resources that one such stun could be the launch of the most anticipated all-new Ford EcoSport. However, other media update suggests the company may launch the mini SUV on 4th January, 2012. All in all, it is for sure that the EcoSport is coming in next month whether in first week or the second week of January, 2012.

The automobile is a compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) from Ford Motors that is built upon the Fiesta platform. The expected price tag that it will carry may range from INR 7 Lakh to INR 9 Lakh. The Ford EcoSport SUV will be positioned between all-new Ford Fiesta and Ford Fiesta Classic.

The Ford EcoSport will be made available in petrol as well as diesel power-train choices and is projected to be carrying the advanced Eco-boost engine. The highly developed Eco-boost power-train may be offered in the displacement of around 1500-1600cc, which will hold decent fuel economy.

Ford EcoSport SUV that will be capable to seat five occupants comfortably and might not bear an all wheel drive system but will be offering front wheel drive mechanism.
