Ford Ecosport launch anytime from now after it unveils at Geneva
The most happening, the most anticipated car launch of the year 2013 will be Ford Ecosport and Maruti XA Alpha. Now that the car reaches Geneva Motor Show, its launch in India is just a few weeks away. Already the car has undergone all testing, all certification and some dealers have commenced bookings as well, so all this indicated that soon after its unveil at the Geneva Show, the car will be launched in the country. This car’s price in the country is expected to be between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 7 lakh and this car is going to compete with Renault Duster and Mahindra Quanto.
Anticipated since last year, the Ecosport launch in India is still pending and more delay is expected to ruin its scope as other cars such as Duster are fast grabbing the market and increasing their hold over it. Also, the car is anticipated since its unveil in January 2012 at the Auto Expo and the average buyer will not wait for so long and will instead go for other available offerings. But it is believed that once the car is launch, it will set aside all others and will cruze to be a leader in the segment. The greatest threat to it will be coming from Maruti XA Alpha that is not expected to be launched in the near future, at least in the next 3-4 months.
The Ecosport’s anticipation is also ripe as lately the Ford car dealers have started taking booking of this car. Though they are not promising any price or launch related details but they are reportedly saying that it will be launched in the next few weeks. As per the calculation, the car maker could launch it sometime in March or early April.
